Japanese Riceburger Bond

We are a Japanese couple who moved to Auckland in 2018.
Kohsuke worked as a restaurant manager for seven years at Cocoro Japanese Restaurant, a
prestigious 3-hat restaurant. Hiromi also worked for five and a half years as an assistant
manager at The Grove, another iconic 3-hat restaurant in Auckland.(Sadly closed down in March
2025)
Now, with a renewed sense of purpose, we’re excited to launch our food truck this October. Our
fully customized food trailer will serve Japanese rice burgers and miso soup — a concept we’re
truly passionate about.
Our brand is called ”Japanese Riceburger Bond”.
Instead of regular burger buns, we use rice buns filled with carefully selected ingredients,
offering a healthier and uniquely Japanese take on the classic burger. We’ll also be serving
hearty miso soup made with seasonal ingredients — perfect to enjoy alongside your rice burger.
